课程的性质、任务与目的
《
航运物流英语》是国际商务专业的专业基础课程之一。为了更好地适应加入
WTO
后我国对外贸易事业的发展需求，缩小与国际上同行企业之间的差距，规范服务，提高从业人员的英语业务能力开展本课程。
各对外开放港口的船舶运输公司、国际航运公司、码头公司、外轮和船舶代理公司
,货运或货运代理公司
,均需要懂得船舶商务和外贸运作知识
,具有较强实际动手能力和一定业务能力
,英语交际能力较强的业务人才，兴才职业技术学院开设的物流管理和国际航运业务管理专业毕业生将就职于以上公司的相关工作岗位；物流公司与国际贸易，航运结合紧密，同时物流专业又有其自身的专业英语要求，物流企业与国际接轨，一定少不了英语这个语言工具，于是我院开设了航运物流英语课程。《航运物流英语》是物流管理和国际航运管理专业的主干课程，该课程结合航运和物流两个领域的涉外专业英语知识。本课程致力于巩固和提高学生在基础英语阶段获得的知识，保证阅读实践，扩大专业词汇，学好航运和物流专业英语，使学生达到能以英语为工具进行本专业的交流，为今后从事航运物流领域相关工作奠定基础。
本课程的教学任务与目的是提高学生从事国际航运物流行业的英语业务能力。

基础知识要求：掌握包括海运、空运、陆运和铁路运输货运代理业务的单证票据、工作流程。
2、
实践能力要求：通过学习本课程，学生能运用航运物流专业词汇、常用短语；熟悉国际航运物流行业处理的单证票据，注意事项等。
